Consumers Not Confident in Mobile Banking and Shopping
· Consumers most reluctant to using a mobile device for this are: France (86%), the UK (79%), Australia (78%), Belgium and Italy (both 77%) and the US (71%).
· Only 9% said they currently use mobile devices to conduct financial transactions like credit cards payments, money transfers and deposits.
· 21% of Germans said they already use their mobile phones for this purpose, the highest percentage of any country in the survey.
· UK respondents had the lowest percentage of people already using their mobile phones, at 1%.

MySpace spammer handed $6 million bill
· Scott Richter has been accused of sending out up to more than 100 million spam messages per day during a certain time period.
· He must pay MySpace $4.8 million in damages and $1.2 million in legal fees.
· At the time these spam messages were sent they only had two relatively junior staff employees to deal with the issues.
New Online Bank Launching in Japan
· The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ is Japan’s largest bank and KDDI Corp is the number two phone company in Japan.
· Most banks in Japan do not offer 24-hour ATM services or take cash cards from oversee lenders.
· The bank, called Jibun Bank, will allow bank holders to make online payments through their mobile phones or PCs when it opens in mid-July.
· The bank plans to later provide foreign-currency-based accounts, loans, credit card services and insurance.
· The new bank is targeting 2.4 million accounts.
