Door’s open. Come on in.
I was in San Francisco recently for IT Security World (my first time exhibiting at a trade show, incidentally). While I was out there, I had the pleasure of attending a dinner sponsored by Vidoop, where I sat next to Bill Washburn, the Executive Director of the OpenID Foundation. He spoke with great enthusiasm about how he saw a parallel between the way the world is regarding online identity today and how it began to regard the web prior to the Mosaic revolution. His fervor was contagious, and it made me excited to think that we at Vidoop aren’t the only ones who think we’re at the right place at the right time.
I could stop at that, but I won’t. One of the three cardinal virtues of computing, as Larry Wall tells us, is hubris, and for just a moment I am going to embrace that virtue and continue.
At Vidoop, not only do we think it’s the right place and the right time, but we have the right tool. There is a coming revolution in identity on the web, and we’re ready for it. myVidoop is going to lead the way into the future, just as we have since our very first day of closed beta.
With usable two-factor authentication, we brought powerful authentication to ordinary users for the first time. Now we’ve brought new remote management features, notifications, and even more security to the same system about which many people’s first comment is “Wow, my three-year-old could use that.”
So now it’s official. myVidoop is open to the public. Give it a try. Take control of your security, and improve your online life.
