Michael Richardson joining Vidoop

Note: I’d like to point out that this is not an April Fool’s joke.

Vidoop is excited to announce that we’ve hired our first developer here at the Portland, OR office. Michael is best known as the author of Pulse of PDX and subsequently Tweetpeek both of which are local community aggregators for Twitter.

More from Michael’s bio:

Michael grew up in rural Idaho where he spent most of his time playing with computers and building forts. A mild interest in Python quickly turned into an obsession, derailing a promising career in politics. Michael is a firm supporter of open source software and ideals and is now working on promoting and using open standards and technologies on the web.

Michael is a graduate of Reed College and currently spends most of his time playing with computers and building forts.

Michael will be a software developer in the ever-growing Portland office working on OpenID, distributed social networking and other “open web” related initiatives. Welcome aboard Michael!

Sweet! Michael rocks. I’m really excited to see him working at such a cool company.

Also: Bug report. I tried to log in with my ClaimID openID. I got through the login at ClaimID and then it dumped me into a vanilla Wordpress login screen with a bunch of funky errors. Anyway, thought you’d want to know.

    Hi Dawn,

Thanks for the report, I asked the developers to look into it. I believe we are using the latest WP-OpenID plugin, not sure whats up…
